If you're not registered,yet, you habe the chance to do so there. - Our second daughter, Rieke, was born on September 30^th 2008. It took 5 days before she arrived. Endless thanks to by beloved wife, Karla, who suffered a lot. Now, a new adventure begins. - Our daughter Svenja is doing very well! She is for sure the worlds most wonderful girl. And she also has a very strong will. She knows what she wants. (To be honest, she sometimes is bullheaded. But for heavens sake, her parents are not!) - Times are changing a lot these days. I'll leave „The Campus“ after more than nine years and will sail to new shores at „DTS“/“Britco“ as a consulter and trainer. - Two new topics came across: ZCM and T+C. WHAT?? OK, ZCM is ZENworks Configuration Management, the latest ZEN version. I did most of the FirstClasses and Jumpstarts for Novell all over Germany. T+C is Novells portal solution called Teaming plus Conferencing. Once again, I did most of the partner-enablement trainings in Germany and Suisse. Thanks for all the attendees for having a great time doing the trainings. I really enjoy both products and think they are unbeatable - even with the problems and missing features they have at the moment. - Linux rules! The penguin is really doing a great job, isn't he? Currently, I have IPcop doing the firewalling and a SLES 10 server for file and print service which are also available via the Apache web server - and my desktops run SuSE Linux Desktop and openSuSE . I never had fewer problems! Of course, also my Windows clients work fine in this environment as the SaMBa-server emulates a domain perfectly. - Talking about new OS: I taught the Novell "First Class"-courses for the OES 1 and 2 and the ones for SLES10 which has been fun - I hope for my students, too ;-). I learned a lot about XEN and went deeper and deeper into that topic. If you are also interested in virtualization especially with XEN contact me. Recently, I am working on a workshop about it. - I've been @Brainshare08! And it was real fun - and a lot of great and interesting news, of course again.
